Expose works good enough for me.. I only run 1 desktop, so Mission Control does nothing for me.

Versions would be rather annoying for me too. I don't want constant backups of documents. Time Machine works good enough.

As for Mail... I use Outlook 2011.

SMBX... well that is something I like... but not enough to make me upgrade.

Really... there's no motivating reason for *ME* to upgrade.

I really wish they had a program like App Store on Windows. This thing is awesome. I was very skeptical when I first heard about it, but it's like Steam for regular programs! Now I can find useful programs all in one place, too, and many are free. Awesome service.

In SL, a new app flies to the Dock. Now it flies to Launchpad. Very iPad like. I also completely organized my Launchpad on the MBP. It's a nice feature but Spotlight is simply faster...
But it's cool to bring it up with the trackpad

Wow, that's exactly like iOS, down to the folders.

Yea it looks cool but it doesn't seem like it would function as well as Spotlight.

You don't even need Spotlight. Putting your Apps folder on the Dock is even faster in most cases. (To launch apps that aren't in your dock).

Now that I have bothered to lookup the Spotlight hot key... I'll try that method.

Thanks.

I am considering taking the plunge for Lion on my Hackintosh. Now that it's running 10.6.8 nicely, I don't know if it's worth it.

Will Acronis image your hard drive?

There are some Mac backup options, but I don't have a spare hard drive to clone the drive to and it seems like you need OSX running to use any of them. So even if I do make a backup, how do I restore to it if my OSX install goes down.

Well I started using OSX on this hackintosh (my laptop) for some work. Writing papers, simulations, etc. and it's pretty nice. So I may stick with it for a while.

I will probably give it a try at least next week sometime. Even if I mess up, I can redo this in a few hours, now that I know I can get 10.6.8 working.
