Default Anything I should upgrade?

Hey guys, so I've been away from computer stuff for a while. My computer specs are on my sig.

I'm wondering if you guys think I should upgrade something? With Skyrim coming out soon I'd like to be able to play the game at max settings without any issues.

Currently my CPU is OC'd at 3.8GHz.

Let me know if you guys think I should upgrade anything.

Thank you.

I see there's some 560's that are 1 GB and this one is 2 GB.

Not really much of an upgrade...

You would have to go for 580 sli if you wanted an upgrade.

Ah I see now.

What about anything else in my system?

You guys think I'll have any trouble running Skyrim with these vid cards? I'm just looking into upgrading whatever the weakest link in my computer is.

It's crap. Tell you what- I'll trade you my dual 7900GTs for your measley two GTX470s.

See, the number 7,900 is greater than the number 470. Thus my two cards are superior to your two cards by, a significant margin.

That's a nice rig you have ChiBChombo. I'd wait until the game is out too before spending any cash. There isn't much a pair of 470s wouldn't be able to handle nicely.

Is that display 1920x1080? If so I'll bet you'll be just fine.

I dunno, looks good to me as is. Is this an e-peen troll? i7 960, SSD, 6GB and 2x 470's SLI'd? That's better than 99% of the PC's on the market.

Yes the screen is 1920 x 1080, and no I'm not trolling. I built this PC with the help of this forum a long time ago, and since I know PC parts are outdated pretty fast, I figured I'd come by and ask if there's anything I should change.

I'm not asking to get the best stuff on the market, I was just asking if there's something I should change, anything at all, that would help my PC.

Yeah, just trash the whole thing and send the components to random people on this board while rebuilding a new one

More seriously, the X58 chipset and processors are still up there with the best and although you could gain some perfs by upgrading your video cards, it would be a big expense for a little gain.

If you game at 1080p, you should be set for skyrim. Although with the track record Bethesda has, maybe NONE of the current hardware will run it fluidly at max settings. Oblivion was certainly quite demanding...
