Default Ethernet Compatibility

I just installed linux Redhat 9.0 on my sytem. It's great. I have a AMD sthlon xp 2100, a leadtek motherboard with the nvidia chipset. This mother board came with the onboard 10/100 ehternet port. I ma trying to configure my cable modem but I don't know which type of ethernet card I have. i looked inside( no luck). Is there a way i can update the firmware or dowmload some sort of drivers? thanx
