It looks great and a lot of fun, but I can't get past how the enemies explode all the time. In the videos it really annoys me when a monster is shot in the arm/foot/head and their whole body explodes from the middle out. It's like a 3D version of the original Doom games... same death animations no matter where you shoot them, and it's not well hidden or anything. And is it just me or does EVERY weapon make monsters explode? It sounds small but it just grinds on me watching those videos.

The game looks very nice and the price is very reasonable, so I may still buy it... but I never got into the originals since I didn't play them until years later.

some of the reviews are trickling out.

I expect most major publishers to give it a less than awesome review. SS does one thing and does one thing exceptionally well.

The user scores on metacritic will tell the real story.

well i've not played BF3 so i can only say VS Crysis... crysis still wins.

The Engine Looks Great..i had everything on ultra and was pulling 40+ FPS

The Textures don't look so sharp up close, but this is a Serious Sam game so who's got time to stand and look anyway with hordes of enemies wanting to rip you apart.

it's hard to describe the feeling i got when i first played it..

it almost feels like a mix of different games..

for me these games included: Stalker/Fear/Modern Warfare 1/Painkiller/Duke Nukem Forever.

and it's the first in the series where you can perform a melee attack up close..and rip off the kleer's head or the gnaar's eye..

But from what i've played it is a solid Serious sam Game .. and i can't wait to play coop

I'm surprised there are not many Serious Sam fans in this forum. You guys are really missing out on a damn good game. This game kicks ass all over the place, I'm enjoying the hell out of it. IMO, easily the best in the Serious Sam series. If anything you guys should buy it to support this small game developer Croteam. In the process you will be pleasantly stoked how good this game is.

^^Mike89

I Totally agree

The more i played the game the more the level of polish impressed me.

playing it on hard brought back the sense of panic that's been absent in recent games.

since now you can't wait for your health to recharge, instead you have to go fight your way to a health pack.. man i've missed that intensity.

At the beginning of the game when it's silent in the desert and then comes the chopper with the music, I'm going, "oh yeah". At that point I already knew that Sam was going to bring it.

All man, no cover!

I played for a couple of hours (into the museum) and it was fun but just not good enough for me to pull me away from skyrim and skyward sword.

It's an ok game, finished it yesterday. Not a fan of the last level or the last boss. The levels preceding that were better. Good weaponry and just mad shooting. Multiplayer has been pretty ordinary so far and barely anybody is playing.
