How to exit the X server in Redhat?
I am a complete beginner at Linux Redhat 9 (my first day) but I am experiencing a extreme slow performance on graphics on my P2 400 MHz with Ultra TNT2 (yes I know itís an old machine). Not only does any 3D graphic rendering lag but the mouse cursor flicker sometimes (which I presume shouldnít be doing). And so I have decided to install new drivers in hope that the situation would improve. And now to the question, I am having problems installing the drivers . I have logged in as root but when running the installation it says that I should exit the X server before installing. And when I refer to the driver Readme it says:
