Refurbishing my gaming box, want to check out some recent fps titles, and maybe BF3 when it comes out.
It's important to me that the card has low idle power consumption since the box is on 24/7. I run 1920x1200 but I'm not very sensitive to occasional framerate drops. Any recommendations?

Tom's Hardware has a nice set of video-card charts, including idle and full 3D power consumption:
http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2...Draw,2677.html My rig is a 95% work and 5% gaming machine, so this is also important to me. As a reference, my factory over-clocked GTX 460 consumes less power on idle than my 9600GT with passive cooling did. Looking at current cards, I'd go for a GTX 560 Ti -- it should be enough in terms of performance, and has very decent idle power draw (have a look at the Palit GTX 560 Ti Sonic, for instance). Hope that helps :-)

all the newer cards idle at a low speed like my GTX470's when just browseing the web they stays at 50/100/325 ,but when I play my games it go to 750/1500/1800.so does the 560TI which is a good card.
