damn looks like the combat is still as lame as oblivions, they could make the best medieval style game ever if they fixed it

Don't forget this is on a 5 year old xbox360... now imagine it with larger textures, higher res, smoother frame rates and AA/AF...

Well as long as they fix that auto level crap, which they said they have improved, it's more like Fallout 3 now or so they say... I never played Fallout 3 but it sounds like some creatures are auto leveled, some creatures are set at super tough and some are set at easy.... so it's a mix mash of auto leveling and set levels, which makes sense to me... so a fricken rat doesn't slay your level 17 warrior, wtf was that... they've also added "perks" and "shouts" to your player leveling, not sure how this will work but I welcome the change...

Looks like NPC's are better in every way and they say the land and 150+ dungeons are hand crafted... looks much better than Oblivion on almost every aspect and Oblivion was no slouch...

I am hesitant though, that's why I'm asking who's pre-ordering. Sounds really good but I was planning on waiting until the reviews to order it, but from everything I've heard it's like it should be a damn good game that I will most probably buy...

Just my 2 cents...

Everything looks awesome to me except the combat, which is the main thing Im looking for in a game like this. Dark Messiah nailed it, I don't understand why you wouldnt use a system like that instead of one hack does all like this

These vids sorta explain. There were more moves like thrusting, slashing from sides, stabbing, kicking, blocking, etc. which all did different damage unlike in oblivion where every time you hit something with your sword it did the same damage

I enjoyed Dark Messiah a lot, loved the combat, but Oblivion I could never get into. tried several times and just didn't like it.

I'm waiting for feedback on this one.

Gotta agree, I couldn't ever get into Oblivion because of the clunky repetitive combat. I had my doubts that they would fix it and it's looking like I was right to be skeptical.

I'll never pre-order any game that costs $60 on the PC at release. It's just stupid when a week later I'll find it for 30% lower somewhere.
