Odd, the game is at 60fps or there about for me with settings on high.

This is a weird way of thinking. Most games are just copies of older games. I have yet to see anything really new in gaming. It just comes down to how well they do what has already been done. In fact this is a copy of the first Deus Ex.

I may end up buying it anyway - It definitely looks muc better than some we've seen lately.

Performance is superb, that's what I don't get. Over 100 fps (got a 120hz monitor) constant. Just this strange stuttering when outside, more noticeable when turning. Settings don't effect it.

I hear what you are saying. This is a normal problem in every game that is released. So many hardware set ups that you don't know how it is going to react until it is on your system. That is why I hate when someone who doesn't have a problem calls everyone who does have a problem a moron. Those same people who don't have the problem do have problems on other games and they are bitching then.

Check out the Steam thread, it's a common prob.

Also get why people are upset about the mouse acceleration but I can see past that. The stuttering thing just don't make sense. Nor does the low ram usage.

Setting FOV to 85 and cutting refresh to 60 seems to have sorted the stutter. Weird.

Odd choice of games to compare it too, considering they are nothing alike gameplay wise and don't even look remotely similar graphically.

And EYE is your idea of a "quality" PC game? It's pretty low budget and buggy compared to DE.

I usually don't care for cover based shooters.

I really took my time through the first mission to figure out how to do it properly (I'm cover challenged... I prefer old school "run and gun")... and I gotta say... I like it.

This morning.. I found out how to change the mode to "Toggle" instead of "Hold Button"... and I think the that will make me like it even more. (Haven't had a chance to actually play the game with that setting yet).

So far I've only done the first mission after the intro/tutorial... and it's looking like a winner already. Again... I'm an old fart that is jaded and prefers old school styled PC games... but this game has definitely taught an old dog a new trick!

I'm looking forward to the rest of the game.

Managed to do the side quest and main mission in the police station by hacking and sneaking, very rewarding game. Sooo satisfying getting the job done properly.
