Default Thinking of building this! Would like some feedback

Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K ($219.99)
Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H100 ($125.00)
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3 ($169.99)
RAM: 2 x 4 GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 MHz CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8 ($79.99)
Graphics card: XFX Radeon HD 6870 ($179.99)
Sound card: Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D PCIe ($138.00)
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB WD1002FAEX ($79.99)
Optical drive: Sony Optiarc AD-7260S ($25.98)
Power supply: Corsair Professional Series Gold AX850 ($174.99)
Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 650D ($189.99)
Monitor: Dell UltraSharp U2312HM ($474.00)
Speakers: Corsair Gaming Audio Series SP2500 ($249.99)

The HD 6870 is only in there to hold me off till the HD 7970 and then I'll give the HD 6870 to my brother.

Any comments/opinions will be appreciated. Any news on when the new Creative sound cards will be released?

looks really nice, the only thing i would recommend is.

1) your missing SSD, for any new system build SSD is a must.
2) change the optiarc for Samsung drive
3) blu-ray burners are rather cheap now, get a nice Pioneer or LG drive, (avoid Lite-on)

I might add as SSD later on. Don't have the money for it right now.

Going to try to buy whatever I can in Dubai and the parts I can't find will be bought online.

I have a question! Since I'll be giving the HD 6870 to my brother once I get the HD 7970, will his Q8300 bottleneck the HD 6870?

plus that dell is IPS.

if you care about image quality, get IPS screen, not any TN crap, like that asus.

It is worth waiting for the new Creative sound cards or should I just get the Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD?

By the way, the Titanium HD does not have 3.5 mm jacks for the computer speakers like the "regular" Titanium. How would I connect the computer speakers to the Titanium HD?

Couldn't agree more. SSD is a must. It widens a huge bottleneck in your system.

Bah, price to performance ratio on SSD's are still way too high imo.
