Default Uninstalling DX9b

Well the subject title says it all I wish to go back to DX9a has anyone knowledge of an uninstallation program for DX9b.

The reason for is that since installing it I no longer have sound in any of my Nascar games N4, 2002 & 2003 which is weird, EA's F1 2001 & 2002 will not run at all ( I can only get a black screen that requires a complete reboot to get anything to work again)

There were some DirectX uninstallers floating around on the web, I'm not sure if they've been updated for the latest versions though. If not, a reformat is the only way to go.
