Default X fails to start with 280.13 drivers on GT 425m

Hi, I installed the 280.13 nvidia drivers for the geforce GT 425m on debian squeeze, and after it, X failed to start. With some internet research I removed the /etc/X11/xorg.conf filed created by nvidia-xconfig, and that way I could enter X again. The problem is X is not using the nvidia drivers, and when I run nvidia-settings, it says there is not a xorg.conf file. Every time I create a xorg.conf file, X fails again. What do I do? any ideas?

I also get this error at boot, I don't know if it has something to do:

startpar: service(s) returned failure: gdomap ... failed!

Thank you.
