I've been scouring both this forum, and others dealing with nvidia drivers, large screen formats such as mine, and have tried numerous different xorg.conf options, modes, modelines and you name it. No matter what I do, while trying to implement a the 2560x1600 resolution, I either get a black screen, or it reverts to 1280x800 on the screen. Which is all right I guess, if you're Helen Keller. ;-)

I'd like to start out with a fresh xorg.conf generated by nvidia-xconfig, and would ask if somebody could walk me through the right order of trying to get this screen to show a 2560x1600 resolution.

Thanks,
Mark
