Default UPDATED Black screen with nvidia 460 nvidia driver 290.10 and linux 3.2.1

Hi, after upgrading my system from 3.1 to linux 3.2 I have a black screen and it seems that it infinitely try to start xorg server passing from init 3 to init 5, without success.
If I boot in init 3 and than i do "startx" xorg failed almost immediatly with errors (see attached file).
I attached a bug report.

UPDATE: same problem with nvidia driver 295 and linux 3.2.6, see my last message for details.

I missed what Linux distribution you are using? Did/are you using the nomodeset kernel load option?

Thank You,

Arch Linux, no I have never used nomodeset as a kernel option; I'm using nvidia default configuration (no device section in xorg.conf.d), only "sync to vblank" activated via nvidia-settings.
Nouveau module is blacklisted, and no nv driver installed.
This configuration have always working with all kernel and driver updates and it's still working with the latest nvidia driver but with 3.0.17.

So I am using openSUSE (11.4 & 12.1), but no problems with kernel 3.2.1 and now 3.2.2 is released and it also is working fine. We always suggest adding in the nomodeset kernel load command and it can't hurt to give it a try.

Thank You,

nomodeset didn't solve, anyway booting with amd_iommu=off "solved" the boot problem as seen here but this should be only a temporary workaround not a permanent solution.
More info about this issue are in related thread linked in that topic.

You're welcome
It seems to me that this bug is present on fermi cards only, I have another computer with an old nvidia 6800 and it's working well without workarounds; slimg00dye do you have a fermi nvidia card?

The problem is still present with 295 drivers and with linux 3.2.6 (that had amd_iommu changes), a friend of mine reported this bug at kernel.org bugzilla and they said that it's an nvidia bug: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42782
So please nvidia devs, fix it

Edit: I forgot to add an up-to-date bug-report.
