Thanks Plagman

I BOUGHT A NEW Y570 I wan't to make sure that you made the report for Y570 also.....

I tried nvidia 290.10 and 295.09 using bumblebee stable and testing ... That is under ubuntu 11.10 kernel 3.0.0.14 and my lenovo bios version 2.09 but in all the same error "NVRM: failed to copy vbios to system memory." Please, keep in touch. It is my first time with nVidia

I am totally new to nVidia. Please tell me what you did exactly or send me the patch for nouveau or even send the patched nouveau.

I have a bios version for the laptop 2.09 and wanna know if anybody have a newer one?

My guess is it came on his laptop. It seems the only way to get newer bioses on the IdeaPad series is to extract them from newer hardware because Lenovo can't be bothered to post them.
