Do I need that feature? I'll have a dedicated SSD for the OS and other programs.

Why not have ssd performance for everything? That's what the caching gives u

The system sounds great, post some pictures when you get it all together.

So don't wait any longer, get the 510.
What about the Crucial m4? I read it is a faster SSD in real-world tests.

I ordered a some parts from Amazon today!

They were the Corsair H100, X-Fi Titanium HD, Corsair AX850, Corsair SP2500, and Corsair 650D. The cost of items was $780.81 and shipping was $230.26.

The majority of shipping charges were due to the case and speakers.

I'll be buying the monitor locally and the rest of the parts my uncle (who is living in the US) will purchase from Newegg and ship to me.

SUPER EXCITED! This is my second ever build. First one was built in 2001.

Free shipping is only available within the US. I'm not in the US (living in Dubai). Shipping for case and speakers is expensive when you are trying to ship it across the world.

You said that you don't have to pay shipping yet you live outside the US. Where do you order your parts from?

Ordered my SSD. It's a Crucial m4 256 GB. I know people said to get an Intel SSD but the Crucial is as fast or faster, just as reliable, and much cheaper than the Intel 520 250 GB.

Quick question. Should I drop my 2 TB HDD in favor of a 512 GB SSD instead of a 256 GB SSD? I think 512 GB should be enough for all my needs. I was originally planning on a 256 GB SSD + 2 TB HDD with the OS and essential programs on the SSD with games and everything else on the HDD. But with the current HDD prices, I could drop the HDD and add that amount to the SSD and get a 512 GB SSD.

What do you say? Running games and everything of off the SSD sounds fun.

I am now in possession of the case, speakers, processor, and monitor.

Still waiting on the rest of the parts.

Here is a preview for you.
