adaptive clocking in twinview mode

I didn't see a question in there, but I'm guessing you are wondering why twinview causes your GPU to run at a higher speed.

NVIDIA claims in order to push all the pixels for twinview it has to up the clock speed. While this may be true, it doesn't need to be at max speed as the driver enforces.

The only workaround is to modify your video BIOS and force your higher clock rates to lower rates. This of course means you lose your high clock speed. I've done this on a laptop and twinview continues to work just fine so the bandwidth constraints are not so black and white.
