You're aware EA has had a download service since 2005 right? Origin is just a rebranding, EA has a large enough retail channel to have not needed to resort to DRM laden bloatware DD clients. The only reason they're pushing it now is due to Steam's popularity with the sheeples who have a hard on for Valve for whatever reason.

You guys really think mw3 will take bf3 on pc? Bc2 might have already done that over black ops. Hardly anyone plays blops on pc anymore, less than mw2 actually. Battlefield has a huge following on pc and call of duties pc community has dissolved to a pretty large extent.

I don't care about Valve.

Look up the sales of the last Battlefield game and then Black Ops, slick. MW outsells BF about 5 or 6 to 1. I'm sure you have some delusions that BF3 is gonna change everything, but no, it won't, the results will be similar.

ROFL. According to VGchartz semi-accurate numbers Bc2 sold less than half of Black ops on PC only. Those don't include certain direct downloads, which Black ops DD probably doubles or triples the rate of Bc2. Probably 3 to 1 on PC altogether.

That's bull. Bc2 has sold over 3.3 million pc copies. You think 10 million bought black ops pc when only 20k peak a day?
Ea's last report put bc2 over 9 million so www.bfbcs.com numbers are fairly accurate

Black Ops has sold 25 million units. Even if 10% of that were PC sales, which is a long shot for a call of duty title, especially considering under 10% of presales were for Wii, DS, and PC combined, the completely BOTCHED release of Black Ops pc surely didnt make that percentage rise, leaving PC still around 2.5mil to be a fair estimate.

Quote:
Black Ops has also set new sales records in the United Kingdom; Two million copies of the game were sold in five days, beating the previous record holder, Modern Warfare 2, by over 10 percent. The Xbox 360 was the best selling version of Call of Duty: Black Ops in the game's opening week. Out of the 2 million sold copies in the UK, 55 percent were Xbox 360 versions and 42 percent PlayStation 3. The PC, DS and Wii versions took the remaining 3 percent.
Anyways, since we dont have access to the real numbers, its a much closer game than you think, at least in terms of PC
