Ea's last report put bc2 over 9 million so www.bfbcs.com numbers are fairly accurate

Black Ops has sold 25 million units. Even if 10% of that were PC sales, which is a long shot for a call of duty title, especially considering under 10% of presales were for Wii, DS, and PC combined, the completely BOTCHED release of Black Ops pc surely didnt make that percentage rise, leaving PC still around 2.5mil to be a fair estimate.

Anyways, since we dont have access to the real numbers, its a much closer game than you think, at least in terms of PC
LOL, you are funny. Since we don't have numbers, that means you're right?

Fixed.

I don't expect BF3 to out sell MW3. There are too many console kiddies who know and love the MW name and don't care about fancy new graphics or anything like that... yet.

I expect (hopefully) that once both games are out, the reviews from their peers and the gaming community (not the online editorials that get paid to publish undeserved high scores) and they'll see that there ARE other games out there besides MW.

Hopefully they'll play BF3 either renting it or at a friend's house and realize that it's just a better game both visually and game play wise and will then go buy it.

I fully expect MW3 to take the crown for initial sales across all platforms but I think that once both games are out, maybe around by the holidays, BF3 will have hit steam, people will have realized that BF3 is the superior game and everyone buys BF3 for the end of the year.

I'm waiting for it to either go on sale on steam or origin around the end of the year to be honest.

This is why game devs get all sparkly eyed when they see see such numbers, hoping they can sell such numbers.

It should be interesting to see profit figures for each platform.

no but I'm much much much closer than you are. We have the BC2 pc sales and giving a generous estimate to Black Ops sales based on UK numbers, a large sampling, +lack of activity in forums, + 2/3 amount of people playing BO as BC2, I'd say its a fair estimate

I'm saying platform vs platform, MW3 will win on every platform individually. I'm not even convinced BF3 with PC, PS3 and 360 combined will beat out 360 MW3 sales alone.

yea 9 million for all platforms, im only talking PC. www.bfbcs.com has the same 9-10m figure for all platforms so their distributions are pretty accurate putting PC at 3.3m sales. Thats more than PS3 and slightly under xbox360. Show me how Black Ops has sold more than 3.3 million PC copies, let alone 2-3x as many. BF3 WILL beat MW3 on PC, and if not will be VERY close..yea thats a bold statement

Its an awesome game that shines on PC. MW3 will be more of the same, and I wished valve would step in and at the very least offer a new CS soon! Not the reskin they are doing now.

They are leaving a ton of money out there that acti is snatching up.

BFBC2 sucks compared to bf3 and doesn't have nowhere near as much marketing...

BF3>MW3
