those usb headphones really that good? guessing for those who have a internal soundcard (other than motherboard) probably a downgrade to use usb headphones..

Well they sound Awesome to me.

But it's up to the person listening to judge..

Because i do most of my gaming at night i have to use the headphones ALOT and these are the first ones i can wear for hours and not have sore ears or a headache after wearing them.

They are the Best i've ever owned hands down

and i do have a X-FI soundcard..i would not say they are a downgrade. more like if i need good headphones or good speakers i get the best of both worlds.

ill wait for the 2.2 tiamat from razer looks good, and i really like the one i have from razer...sooo freaking liiiight on my head..and yet full close..almost 2 years for the cable to die..pretty good deal

The HS1A has the wires instead of USB. I have an Asus Xonar DS and I didn't really notice a difference between that and onboard. Getting that headset was one I actually got an improvement.
