Using them now. Running ok (590GTX), but it's hardly a graphical powerhouse.

did you do the austrailian vpn thing?

I pretty much assumed that we would have to wait for the modders to get their hands on the dev kit for high res textures and stuff before we have the soul crushing experience that morrowind and oblivion laid on our systems (well mine at least at the times)

I guess that it's good though that it's not terribly demanding. That means I can hook up my rig to my 50" plasma and jack the AA/AF settings through the roof with nvidia inspector since it's only running at 720p.

How does the game play with a 360 game pad?

So far, there's been a lot of hand holding in Skyrim, but it's optional. If you want you can travel alone on a quest, or with the provided guide/companion. Too much freedom perhaps? ::

is not that, i like freedom in game, but quest should be done better, while still playing main quest there should be more side quest that are related to main quest, after you save the world, then all the unrelated quest should start appearing.

Screenshots don't look too impressive. I'll wait for some texture packs.

the game actually won't launch without steam automatically applying the patch.

So in other words they used DX11 to do some features easier but you won't notice any difference. A bit like DICE used DX11 to soften the shadow in BFBC2.
