The game is frigging epic and those ini tweaks make all the difference. I put it on my SSD drive, the game loads up without Steam(TESV.exe) and the loading time to get into the game is about 6 seconds.

Loving the music, fits perfectly and the quests are great so far.

Got it last night, cool game with a few bugs.I run at 1680x1050 all high with the 4 checkboxes from advanced options on as well as fxaa. The games stays pegged at 60fps indoors and out.I see no drops to 20ish as some are reporting.I'm going to try maxing out all the view distance sliders to see what happens.Btw I'm using sli afr2,with both gpu's around 65% with 285.38 drivers. This game seems to like my old 8800's

Man I REALLY want this game, but the cheap bastard in me wants to hold out until I can find it for less than $30. I will NEVER pay full price for an sp game, ever. Hell, I'm still waiting to get Civ V for $10 or less, lol.

Cheap skate. The game is well worth it's full price because it has so much gameplay and so many things to do.

As such, have you considered taking something like Dramamine while playing the game? I know it is mostly used for the likes of preventing sea sickness and I have no idea whether or not it'll work in this usage but maybe it could allow you to get your $65 worth out of this game.
I've taken it a lot in the past for my hear problems. The issue is just from surgery last month. My inner ear is still healing. They were working right around the balance organ and that is nasty stuff. I will be able to play it at some point later.

Yeah I mentioned the console setting. I did that and my problem is completely physical at this point. It will get better but I'll have to wait.

I hope devs use DX11 to smooth out the shadows and if they don't improve the textures then I'm sure the mod community will do a high resolution texture pack. The lighting system seems lacking as well, not sure why they haven't used Deferred Lighting in their engine.

There is so much they could do with DX11 in this game, tessellated mountains would have looked so awesome.

One thing I am having issues with, gameplay wise. I've never done a rogue in these games (usually allways warrior or caster). The games even more open endedness class based system makes figuring out what I need to play as a successful rogue difficult.. even more so when it comes to weapon and armor selection. The game makes no attempt to explain what armors and weapons I should seek, and yet theres no way as a rogue I should be running around in any plate I find.

The weapons are even worse cause I have been dual wielding 2 steel daggers and yet 1) there dosn't seem to be any REASON too, you cannot attack with both at the same time, and 2) I have run across many sword/axe/mace upgrades, including some rares, but have yet to upgrade from my stock steel daggers.

Also WoW has really spoiled me, but is it to much for me to expect that perl (talents) systems no longer be filled with craptastic perks like "Increase 1h damage by %10 1/5" ? So I have to spend 5 levels to blow on a perk that while increases weapon damage, Hasn't given me any cool new abilities to play with. Its like playing WoW level 1-20.. but you get no new abilities or spells. -_-

Well you get new spells by looking around for them and of course, Dragon voices which give you abilities. Dual welding magic is pretty cool and powerful and the fire one is much more powerful than the one you start with in Oblivion.
