Well honestly, I've been more looking around the Skyrim world at the moment and done a few side quests. I've actually been playing more of The Witcher 2 and Arcania.

Cannot seem to get into it full force yet.

Just fought Alduin. He was surprisingly easy though.

And can you believe i just discovered how to use soul gems and capture souls? The game was too vague about that, i had to check out a tutorial on youtube in order to learn. And where do i find enchantments?

I've been running about looting places, got over 5000 gold so far. Solitude is an awesome place with cool quests.

Going to go back to a few places now I've levelled up and got stronger magica, since I got wasted in a few places doing jobs looking for their scrolls. I like who people hang outside ruins, asking if you'd help them.

I haven't had a crash in my last 7-8 hours of play.

Did a few things. Run the 4GB memory aware patch on the .exe , changed sound to 24 bit 44khz and added TESV.exe to ffdshow's block list filter. (Fallout 3 is also on there so must be a known issue with the engine)

Also occured to me I haven't had a companion for the past 8 hours, could be that causing it too.

Just saving often and hoping the next patch does the job.

The court mage in Whiterun gives you a tutorial quest for enchanting. You have to disenchant magical items to learn new enchantments. As for Soul Trap I'm not sure if an NPC does that or not, it's just something I knew from previous games.

My great kill or my greatest kill? I LOL'd HARD when it worked. I killed him the old fashioned way first and he died face up. I saw the briar heart in his chest cavity and knew I already had a couple in my inventory so I looted it as well. It opened up his chest cavity and it was empty after I took it. The light bulb in my head turned on, I re-loaded my recent save and executed my plan.

Luckily for me, the camera was rolling...

I've had some serious trial and error getting this game to work how i wanted. At first it refused to believe i had a discrete graphics card lol. Intel graphics did not perform well at all.

Just had my first crash. Nothing much lost apart from time.

It's taken me a while to get used to the user interface but i'm getting there, and i'm beginning to get used to the favourites and quick keys as well.

I think this is the first elder scrolls game to really hit the sweet spot when it comes to combat and difficulty. In morrowind I had a level 75 god. In oblivion I had to turn down the difficulty to 0 at level 34. I m at level 22 and playing on adept and i feel just the right amount of badass and i need just the right amount of caution/planning. Just found my first really good item at random after a suprising battle.
