Because they made it for their beloved consoles. An inventory system like Arcaina would have been a lot better because you can drag and drop 9 main(1-9 keys) items for quick use on the keyboard. Having to go though a 90s sliding menu system is stupid but they made it for joypads. it's like Windows 95 all over again.

That is exactly my problem with loot management. At least allow PC gamers to use the left mouse button for that. I don't like the idea of using wsda to browse and equip. I am getting used to it, but it's annoying.

why not have a character screen with ure character in 3d and the option to equip gear based of a inventory box style system...
give it some time. guys are getting mods planned, laid out and testing as we speak.

What's funny is even the console guys want this. One of the actual bethesda UI coders chimes in occasionally to offer help.

Looks awesome. It probably would have if Bethesda didn't love the Xbox360 so much.

Wow, that UI is amazing! Can't wait to get my hands on it.

The more I play the more I get used to the current one, but it's definitely not my cup of tea. What's funny is that I've been playing so much Skyrim that I instictively try to control my other games UI's with my WASD keys and try to use E for Enter now.

Don't wait, play it now! You can always replay the game a different way since many quests are randomly generated. This is my GOTY, its an amazing game.
