Well as BETASoft and steam ****ed up my skyrim install with 1.2 and the fact that ive have about 6 quest lines that are halted due to dialog bugs which wont get fixed till the new year i've decided to to halt my quest to save the world & just re-detail/remake some of Skyrims ****tier textures

For the not so bad ones i'll be remastering them to 2048 and adding/enhancing there surface details and then remaking there normal/spec maps, but for the ones past repair i'll just make up new textures in the sprit of the orginals

heres a few WIP shots of the few ive done sofar

links are to 2560x1440 images,no sharpening or injector tweaks just standard lighting default tones

btw these replacements textures will only be 2048x2048 max as skyrim seems to eat Vram like crazy might take a few weeks to complete but i will upload in sections when there done

These look fantastic!!! Do you have a page on skyrim nexus yet? I would love to help test them out a bit and will endorse as well. How tough is normal mapping to do as only some of the texture mods/add ons have normal mapping and boy what a difference it makes?

Trade skills in this game are extremely overpowered, especially when you use them in tandem. I had to bump the game up from Adept to Master once I started making better items because I was killing everything in one or two hits.

Its funny you should say that .. I did actually, I changed it from 7 to 9 just today. I then changed it back to 7 shortly after.

Then the crashes started, Just had to start a new game.

Yup. You can't change ugrids backwards. If you pick an older save you should be fine though but any save with ugrid 9 is lost.
