I like the Frost Breath Shout. Freezes most enemies leaving you to heal up or work on another enemy.

yeah this one is my most frequenly use shout. being able to freeze the harder guys and get a few heavy melee hits on them while they're down on the ground really helps.

One of the worse is Storm Call because it hits everyone so any NPCs or Companions around and they will get killed or turn on you.

that one was actually extremely helpful during the big fight at the final dragon priest (where there were also 2 dragons on the scene trying to kill me)

Do you think the shaming beth have had over their mis-optimization of the Skyrim PC port and the stuff that modders have already improved/fixed has just turned out to be to much for them to get a handle on and just like all their other game's there going to be abandoning skyrim after a few patches and leaving us with a broken game (that modders will have to spend months fixing) so they can move on to pushing DLC content out for even more $$$ ?

I'll say this if they cant be bothered to do some simple recompiles to integrate the optimization's that TESV Acceleration Layer/Skyboost have exposed then i'll be giving any DLC's they care to release a miss till skyrim's GOTY ed hits the bargin bin

I wonder if M$ have any hand in this cripple other platforms mentality that beth seem to have for the PC & PS3 and are throwing money at beth to get better support/content for the 360 version of skyrim (my mate has the large save file fps bug on his ps3 and after about 80 hours of play its now running at about 5fps! & still no fix from beth almost 2 months on!) we already know M$ got a month exclusive release on the first 2 DLC packages.......

Just take a look at the Unofficial Buglist thread,if even half that landed on my desk as a bug report for software id released id **** my pants, given the limited stuff their patches have sofar fixed it will take them months to fix that stuff (if they even bother, just look at the mess they left oblivion in even after all the DLC)

Dont get me wrong i love skyrim as a game but FM they really need better Q&A/testers

Well its never just a simple recompile. They'd end up having to test every function all over again to make sure nothing broke, which is going to cost a lot of money. Given Skyrim's size, and the number of bugs to go unchecked, I'm sure each patch only gets a relatively limited "spot" check that can be done by a few testers a couple of days, and doing something so low level as enabling those optimizations would not work with that testing paradigm.

That said, what the hell were they thinking in the first place?! The fact that optimizations weren't enabled makes me wonder just how much of the old Gamebryo code is still lurking around the engine, and just how old is that code and what's it doing? Seriously, a game as big as Skyrim, that consumes that many resources, needs a modern engine (and not just a "more-modern" renderer), and should ideally be 64-bit (as proven by the LAA flag issue).

So I finally got approved for the Bethesda insiders program. I'm 50 points away from my free copy of Skyrim! W00T!!!! After Skyrim I'm going to try and get Rage. Those two games should keep my busy for a while.

EDIT: Wow- just by answering all the questions for skyrim and watching the videos (haven't watched them all yet) I'm at 140 points. 60 more and I got RAGE.
