I'm going to start playing for the first time, and I'm wondering what mods I should get for the best visual experience? So far I've downloaded,

Skyrim HD
Enhanced Night Sky
Nicer Snowflakes
Realistic Smoke and Embers
Realistic Water

Is Vurtís Skyrim Flora Overhaul compatible with Skyrim HD?

Download the high res NPC clothing and No More Blocky Faces as well. They dont make the characters look like cubes

Some of the fixes that went in don't seem to fix quest issues once you've already completed them; most notably your Windhelm house not being cleaned up. Still have corpses and blood everywhere.

Clean your house yourself! Do they have to do everything for you?!

If they had the damn creation kit we could actually do this.

As usual, the community is a step ahead of Bethesda:

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tes5Mod:SkyEdit

Edit: Haven't played with it myself, but I can't say I'm surprised that the community's making their own creation kit. The data file formats are pretty well understood, after all.

Also, this thing still looks like it's pretty rough, judging from what little documentation is available.

Yup. The performance increase seems to be better than Skyboost's, too.

Leather Bracers = fastest way to level up Smithing. Figured it out a little while ago and went up 20 levels in a few hours.
