I just ditched Firefox for good. Uninstalled it for good measure. I kept getting crashes with Firefox and the Nvidia driver. I thought I was alone, but many people online experience the same thing and have disabled hardware acceleration. I think that's bull****. Your constant releases and slow but steady bloat have doomed you Firefox. I bid you adieu.

You are my life now Chrome. Godspeed.

I never understand why people have to use all these different web browsers. It is funny when I'm working on a computer at work and the owner acts as if they're uber-techs but just can't figure out what's wrong with their system. First thing I usually notice is they'll have some kind of torrenting software, or the likes for FrosWire on their system, then they'll have some kind of free anti virus, usually more than one, and on top of that they'll have every browser known to man with a crap-ton of add-ons installed.

And then they wonder why their computer is slow, crashes, they can't get online, etc.

Never have any issues what so ever. I just use IE9 with no add-ons, only using Norton360 (get it free via my prior job), and can't think of the last time I had issues with pop-ups, an infection, or my system was even remotely sluggish.

To each their own, however.

Addons provide added features. My crashes have nothing to do with any of what you listed. I run 3 addons, all from reputable software sources, and the issue is encountered by many others.

And if I were you I'd ditch Norton. It's bloatware.

Actually the newer versions of norton are pretty light, they've improved quite a bit since days past. Still though, I am partial to Kaspersky for the average "I download everything that's free" joe as it has the very best detection rates while having the least false positives, not to mention lightweight.

For everybody else, I always recommend MSE since it does a very good job and is free. In other words, best value.
