4/5 from Giant Bomb... they say it is the best Zelda in years, but that doesn't mean much to me. I really wish Nintendo would make/allow somebody else to make a more mature Zelda.

Skyward sword is apparently the best zelda since Ocarina of time which is one of my fave games EVER. Never been a lover of the Wii's controller but it might be time to invest in a Wii this christmas just for this game...looks awesome.

I can't believe there isn't more talk about this game on the forum.
It is smashing the charts with the review scores. First GI game to ever get a 10/10 IGN gave it a 10/10 which is RARE. Maybe 6 games in history have gotten that. First game to get a 10/10 by Edge since OOT. Official Nintendo Magazine gave it a 98% which ties the highest with OOT. The last time a game got these sort of reviews was.... well... OOT. Oh and a 4/5 from Giant Bomb is meaningless. That was the douche who gave Twilight Princess an 86. I freakin loved that game. This is a ZELDA game. Happens once every 5 years. I'm shocked no one is hyped about this. |

I don't know what it is with nintendo titles, but after all of these years they still haven't grown up. They still produce crap that you'd only truly enjoy if you were twelve or perhaps just nostalgic.

I'm not a Zelda fan really, but I think it's funny how people have a nerdgasm over any Zelda game that releases, I guess mainly because it was one of the first good video games of all time. "10 out of 10! 11 out of 11!!!! OMGAFHFAWEHWEFNW!!!!" Old Zelda games were good but these new ones are meh at the most.
Plus it's on the worst console available today. No thanks. |

I looks like a great for a Zelda game and thats the thing. Its still a Zelda game. Not much has changed from OOT, small tweaks but really its the same ****ing game. Zelda games always get a high score, doesn't mean its really that good. Take Twilight Princess, it scored great and anyone which a right mind knows it was one of the worse Zelda games. It's sad that with TP they had a more mature theme and now it looks like they are taking a step back from that.

I loved Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask, but never really got into or finished Twilight Princess (started it). If I get a chance to pickup Skyward Sword cheap, I'll do it, but I don't see myself dropping $50 for it.
