The new steam patch for AC is cr*p. The game still runs like a dog in DX 11 and worse of all the game crashes with a stopped responding message, lame!
Giving up on DX 11 and just going to play the games through in DX9. Don't think Rocksteady know how to fix these DX 11 issues.

I loved the first game and I'm sure I'll love this game, but right now I see no reason to grin and bear it like so many others are doing. You accept this garbage and that's what developers will continue to deliver.
something is seriously wrong with your PC, it doesn't take 5 minutes to load. 20-40 seconds to load, get through the intro logos.

He is exaggerating a bit, but he isn't really wrong. Batman AC feels like it takes a real long time to load. Prepatch it took me 1m42s to get to the press start screen, after pressing play on the launcher. Now it takes an even 1m to do the same. They reduce the load time by 42s after the latest DX11 patch, but it really should be less. Skyrim takes 15s from the time I click on it from my steam list till the continue button is available to me to click. I used a stop watch to measure the times and did the timing on the second load (start the game, exit then start it again this time with the stop watch) just to make sure it would be the fastest time.

/whoosh!

You're right, the game loads so fast and DX11 has been running perfect since the game was released. 20 secs, eh? You are just a flat out liar. The (unskippable) intro scenes alone take nearly that long.

While you are down there don't forget to cup the balls.

Exactly. I'm sorry some people can't remove the exaggerating from the truth and realize what I'm talking about. While it's no where near 5 minutes it's definitely much longer than any other game I own and certainly much longer than it should be.

But, apparently it's my computer. Never mind the fact that have dozens of games that run perfectly, and Skyrim loads in about 2 seconds.

Getting an average of 50 fps in the benchmark now with the new patch. Was below 20 before. This is with Dx11 all options on high 1920x1080. The stuttering cutscenes also fixed.

This track is really badass. In all i think the OST beats that of Hans Zimmer's compositions in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

The game is running good for me in DX11 (with patch) at max settings, physx high (vsync off), and 4X FSAA with the exception of one battle. The first Joker battle (with train tracks on both sides). For some reason that one battle runs like a slide show, feels like about 5 fps. Once I get through that battle, it returns to the same performance as the rest of the game. I see nothing in that battle that would account for such a slow down compared to the rest of the game. Hell I get through the Penguin battle (where he's shooting the freeze gun at you) with all the physx stuff going on without so much as a burp. Dunno what's up with that one section.

As far as comparing the two games. It's close but I prefer the first one a little better. This is mainly because getting all the Riddler stuff is a bit too tedious for me in the second game. In the first game I can get it all (and have fun doing it) before the last battle with the Joker. Second game I've played 3 times now and still haven't got them all. The fun factor getting them gets lost after awhile and I lose interest. I come away feeling kind of incomplete. I think they could have designed those better in the second game. To me they tried to do too much with them and missed the mark on game flow. Just my opinion.

2. the steam version auto patches, yes?

3. what kind of physics can i expect with 5870?
