I know everyone has their own experiences with drivers, and here's mine. Since I saw K.I.L.E.R.'s post, and then also checked out the readme file, I tried going back to the 30.82's. They were terrible for me. The performance was basically the same, but I had major artifacts in all maps. Switching back to the 40.41's, I have no problems.

Great looking graphics. I enjoy this game a lot. The full version should keep me busy for a long time.

Some people say that this is just more of the same in a better looking package. That might be true, but that's why I play these games, so I can shoot the crap outa someone lol. Where else are you going to be able to get this much entertainment for the amount you have to spend for this game.

This is a stupid question, but does the game run in D3D? I dont see a option to run it in OpenGL or D3D?

The game was coded with Direct3D in mind. OpenGL has been rumored to work in the demo, but i can't get it to run. Says i "need dxtc/s3tc". check the engine settings in the .cfg file for details.

So far, my favorite is bombing run...when it works!

Every time I click the "Bombing Run" tab, the game crashes with an assertion error.

Bombing Run works great for me, try running the game in OGL. I've found that Bombing Run is extremely fun when you use 16 bots per time and play on the Expert setting.

Whenever the game is sorting the servers and grabbing their ping times, I get this crap...

To run the game in OpenGL (although I've found that it runs a tad bit slower than D3D for me), go to the UT2003.ini file in the System folder, and where it says [Engine.Engine]

Replace

RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice

with

RenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice
