SE I was mainly thinking about a weapon in itself like in AvP 2 type thing.

Hey, anyone got the juice on configuring the demo for Surround Gaming mode on the Parhelia? I doubt it is gonna be fast enough to play after looking over Mike's performance numbers on the news page but I gotta give it a go.

my performance is posted in the benching topic... im severley impressed... specially if they say the textures are to be improved! lil jaggy without fsaa, but i dont wanna play at a really low res just to use fsaa.. seems silly

It takes forever to freakin load up(around 30 seconds). Gameplay kinda feels the same as UT though any 1 know how to do any of the special moves etc. ?

I have got it workin smoothly with AA (performance is horrible with fsaa), now if only i can figure out why the hell my fps keeps going to dogs all of a sudden.

Actually, running in 800x600 or 1024x768 without FSAA and with the 40.41 aniso settings at 1, I noticed texture swimming and popping in the distance, as well as tons of aliasing (noticable because it caused shimmer on a high contrast area of the maps). While turning on quincunx and 2x aniso at 800x600 resulted in practically the same performance as 1024x768 without them, but noticably improved the overall scene over either of the other two modes (jaggies mostly gone, swimming textures gone, etc.).

I'm gonna probably go back to the 30.82's and give those a try, just for comparison's sake (especially since K.I.L.E.R. reported they were smoother for him; I know he's got a GF3, but if the water's all that really uses shaders anyway, and all that the 40.41's supposedly optimized was the shaders..)

Since my botmatch scores basically stay the same no matter the what the resolution is, what is that saying? Am I CPU limited, GPU limited or a combo of both?

CPU limited for sure. With that card you should have no prob. Even my bro with a P4 2.4 and a R9700 cant get any higher than 65-68 fps no matter what setting those ****ing bots suck lotta CPU power!!!!. As UT this game will be very CPU limited so as a card bench it will suck like UT, too.

Here you go:

1. go to the installed directory
2. go to the /system/ subdirectory
3. edit the ut2003.ini file
4. go the the section [windrv.windowsclient]
5. find the line FullscreenViewportX= set it to 2400
6. find the line FullscreenViewportY= set it to 600
7. add the line ScaleHUDX=0.33333 to the end of THIS SECTION
8. save/quit
9. run game
10. once PLAYING, hit TAB, type FOV 138. FOV should get adjusted

Rocket Launcher:

You CAN make it spread or grouped!!
Just hold down secondary fire and THEN hold down primary fire. Exactly the way that you did it in UT, for making grenade bounces grouped.
