Default Problem with glx and enemy territory >?

Hi,

at first remove this:
Load "record"
Load "dri"
Load "xtrap"

second, the error message shows, that the nvidia-glx-libs were not installed correctly.

Have you installed the nvidia-glx-rpm?
If yes, check that the symlinks are correct (look for libGL*)

hey, this is the exact problem im also having, although i have the XF86Config crap all worked out and edited, what is this nvidia-glx rpm you speak of? and where can i get it in source, since im on slackware?

Driver "nv"


change that to "nvidia"
make sure the kernel module is loaded

then try again

what about glx being reported missing? i have everything set up right, i load the module, and my XF86Config file is properly edited, but when i try to load ET it gives me the same exact errors as kephren

and also, here's some more evidence of me not having this glx module, this is from my /var/log/XFree86.0.log file:

(EE) [GLX]: Failed to add GLX extension (NVIDIA XFree86 driver not found)

i should also add that this still happens after two installs of the driver. maybe i should try an older driver????
