my 1366-era one is awful looking . awesome setup. I assume BF3 maxed out is smooth as munkus' bottom.

Thanks guys! I've been looking forward to this build for LONG time. Its actually the first full out build I've made since my first machine for college 6 years ago. The speed is pretty awesome. Thanks to the ssd I can get into windows in like 12-15 seconds! The uefi is pretty nice. Mouse support and good looking compared to the old bios. I've had 0 boot or reset issues, smooth sailing.

One small issue that just started is the psu fan started a really small wobbly sound that wasnt audible the first 2 days. It was dead silent before, but now I can hear it a little bit, and especially when I shut it down and its the last fan running it doesnt sound completely smooth. Any ideas to check it out?

edit: gave the psu a tiny whack and it went away. must have been a vibration, maybe i need to tighten a screw

Maybe squirt some lighter fluid in the back of the PSU and burn off some of that cat hair.
okay in all seriousness if it keeps up I would RMA it before you hurt your hand.

Sweet rig mojo, gonna post a few pics of mine in a few. My second PCI-E slot took a dump so I went to Frys and picked up an MSI Z77-G45A for now. works great so far.

LOL yeah I did some moar organizing just wanted to make sure everything was working, With these 2 670's I'm hitting 1828 vram usage on them with Crysis 2 with my 580 I was using 1509 so I am much happier with the extra vram. These cards are cool and quiet as well, no complaints. They idle at 24-25 and when fully loaded hit 56-58.

Awesome! good to hear. Keep them cooled with an extra fan, maybe on your case side door.
