Default Is there an easy way to copy files to the end of a HDD?

I have a batch of files I would like to store on a certain HDD, however I want those files added to the end of the drive, as to leave the the beginning and middle open for more performance critcal applications. Is there an easy way to do this?

partition the drive. That's about the only way to really guarentee they are put there and stay there. (First auto defrag is going to move them)

Yea I havnt seen any programs that allow you to willfully move the locations of files on the platter or the sector table.

EaseUS partition Master.

Best free partition software I've seen under windows. Has not failed me yet...

you could try DiskTrix UltimateDefrag.... It gives you control over file placement.
