If It is true, I must say Q3 engine still has best graphic quality/performance ratio

w/ 16*12 res, 2AA 4Quality AF, everything is set to max, game runs very well

By the way, if you want to enable console, edit this entry (in config.cfg): seta monkeytoy "0" and set it to "1". Now you have your munkey back!

I just played it again, and i must say, its a Top Notch game, and i dont belive their pr about "we compeltely changed the q3 engine" they didnt, and i can tell its rendering style from looking at it.

However, they did make it use more polys bigger textures etc.

I agree, the Q3 engine is certainly recognizable, but it looks great nevertheless. That's actually the second time i've been impressed by the engine, first time being Return to Castle Woflenstein.

I've noticed that this game plays incredibly well. I first got a chance to play it at Quakecon, and it was niiiice. I'm extremely impressed with the overall feeling to the game, the world, the atmosphere. Just what they're trying to do is incredible. They don't focus on making you pay attention to 'intense facial expressions' *ahem*. This is a key point game where they simply use technology available to them to create an overall incredible atmosphere. This is the type of quality level I expect from games, I really do. It just takes a little bit of work and a little bit of effort to sit back and say "You know, this would be cooler *IF*" and then put it in there.

Now, for the picking apart:

The paratroopers, they're sprites. I would hope to god that they are or will be converted to 3d models in the final game. If not, someone with some quick modding skills ought to throw one together real quick for the rest of us to enjoy (shouldn't be that difficult). Not to mention it'd be nice to see some more planes flying by that the Germans are actually shooting at.

Overall, this game gets a 90% in my book and the gameplay trailers of the other missions look top notch.

Plays awesome on my 9800 Pro. Reminded me alot of MOH:AA on steroids. There is a butt load of stuff going on all at once. I'm in the Army National Guard and this is one of the most realistic combat simulations I think I've ever experienced...Minus the sweat, blood and tears. One thing I wish they would add to these sims is the fact that after a good battle, and provided there aren't any bad guys sneakin' up your six, that everyone has a party and gets BLIND RUNNING ***** FACED!!!

Do the benchmarks really matter? The game is immensely smooth as it is......They've got enough headroom to go that extra mile...
