Default 295.09 problem with ARB_shader_atomic_counters

Experimenting with OpenGL 4.2 context, atomicCounterIncrement and atomicCounterDecrement always return 0.

I'm wonder if atomic counter operations are implemented, or something is wrong with my code, anyone know if it works under linux?

thanks in advance

(my setup: GeForce 430GT on Linux-x86_64 with 295.09 driver)
