Default Sniper Elite V2

Demo out on steam, feedback? thoughts?

Fancy this as long as multiplayer is on the money.

Stuck at 90% and Steam refuses to download any more for some reason.

I enjoyed it on PS3, but want to play the demo on PC for obvious reasons.

I can't even get steam to start to download the demo files. I want to really check this one out. If the FOV stuff isn't fixed at some ridiculously low number, I think it might be a must buy for me.

Had to circumvent steam to get demo, for some reason steam has fubared the demo release & no one can download it until they sort a fix.

U can get demo elsewhere if u know where to look

Game is pretty nice, engine seems buttery smooth on ultra setting, ingame kill/xray cams are a nice touch, enemy ai is as dopey as you would expect, multiplayer is what i want from this but based on the sp performance & looks i'll buy it on day 1.

I never played the first one, but I'm all kinds of excited about the CO-OP in this game, full campaign co-op, yes pls!

I played the demo twice last night, first on easy...that was a mistake...WAYYY too easy. Second time on Sniper Elite, it was better but still a little easy. I suspect the lack of difficulty was probably due to the mission maybe being a pretty early one.

I already pre-ordered it for myself and a friend, can't wait to play this until May 15 when Hell is unleashed!

The demo is pretty easy even at the hardest mode, but it's fun. My biggest complaint is how they changed the game to regenerating health . The first Sniper Elite was hard because, like the other soldiers in the battlefield you could die easily from getting shot. In this one, run to cover and wait a second and your 100% again. At least with medpacks type system, you had to go find them so it wasn't guaranteed. Stealth seems optional now because of the regen health. Also the enemy AI seems pretty stupid, but also omnipotent once alerted.

I hope they put more stealth stuff into the real game. Like in the previous game, where if you timed your shots to thunder, or other gunfire in the area, you remained invisible. There is no indicator in the demo like the first Sniper Elite game, that indicated how well you blended in with your surroundings so I am thinking they might have taken that aspect out which is a real shame cause it really made the first game great.

Tried the demo and I liked it. Only complaint is that its far more linear then the original game was. Seems there's only one path and that kinda makes stealth feel very forced. The gameplay was fun though and it looked good.

The AI was not the best but I was able to take down a few guys before they knew where I was. I don't like that they spawn guys in different sections of the map when they force you to back track (like the sniper on the roof when you are getting to the vantage point, why wasn't he there when I was on the street?)

I quickly got bored of the silly 'killcam' after each shot...and as magus said it is very linear. Of course i only played it in DX10 with everything maxed but the visuals didn't impress me at all. I was kinda hoping for more from this title but it has left me dissappointed to say the least.
