Expreview show off GK104 core die.

http://www.expreview.com/18731.html

It slight bigger than G92 core die.

I googled G92-421-B1, it wasn't G92 but actually it is 55nm G92b core on GeForce GTS 250 cards so it slight bigger than 231mm2. It is incredible much smaller than Radeon HD 7970's 365mm2.

I think poor AMD will have a very hard time compete with Nvidia this year after Bulldozer horrible performance and Llano yield disaster in 2011.

Logic would dictate that nVidia, wanting to keep production costs as low as possible, would go with the least expensive yet fully functional cooling solution they can. If the chip is as small as reported, but nVidia felt it needed such a cooling solution to keep the temperatures in line, odds are it is indeed a very hot chip.

Or, it has tons of head room and like AMD nVidia will start listing it's OC ability as a feature.

it seemed Nvidia Security Agency had took Expreview link down but I am surprised the pics still up. Thankfully I saved all pics in case they took all pics down.

I found new info from a employee of a retail PC company had a EVGA mini presentation of GTX 680 2 days ago, EVGA rep confirmed that retail GTX 680 will have 2x6 pins power, 22nd March hard launch date, 190W TDP and finally got MSRP price of $550.

It's not faster than the 7970 then...or it would cost more money.

GTX 680 will win performance per watt against Radeon HD 7970 at same price.

Reviews were supposed to be out on the 12th and a release date of the 23rd. At least that is what has been said on a few sites.
