Aquamark is a good quick-and-dirty test for ram instability. If you aren't stable you will hear the dreaded 'thunk' and see an exception violation. Or you will lock.
For my scores, see sig (no cheats). Not bad for a non-FX setup. I've also hit +80k on P4 rigs a few times. You pretty much need a 6800 Ultra or X800XT PE. Aquamark likes fast CAS timings and large L2 cache.

Just installed the 76.10 driver, which i belive my SLI setup loves, and got a best of 91002.

This score is with my video setting set to high quality. All I can say is WOW!!! Best I could get with my old 9800 Pro was 37xxx. And you guys know of that one part where you zoom in on that one ship that blows up? Well with my 9800 Pro that part would slow down to a craw and drop as low as 11fps. But with my 6800 GT it never drops below 40fps. And the whole benchmark just runs so much faster. ![]()

hey Aquamark 3 is about 2 years old. I did like it a lot ... but seems outdated now. Does anyone know if a new version is coming out soon ?
I would be great! ![]() |

Got my own personal high last night: 84,753 on an X850Xt PE at default clock, no cheats. Mainly because I finally got my DFI NF4-Ultra-D board up. Running 307x9, 166 divider for 2763 mhz, BH-5 at 251, 2-2-2-8 @ 3.1 VDIMM . Not surprisingly, also hit several other personal highs:3DMark2001=29,234 3DMar2000=29,192 3DMark2005=6403 3DMar2003=13,694

This test is very sensitive to very fast CAS settings. I briefly ran an FX-55 and I found the Aquamark scores were absolutely pitiful if you have to run dividers and/or slow CAS settings on the ram.
I was just shocked at the poor benchmarks if you have to run an FX-55 at maybe 200 mhz, 2-2-2-5 on the ram. I was running 2800 mhz too. In addition, 3DMark2005 and 2003 scores were horrid. It's clear that these tests are video-card dependent. The main benches that were maybe 400-500 points higher were 3DMark2001/2000. I personally feel the FX-55 is overrated and due to the pathetic overclocks of 2005 steppings (barely did 2930 and needed 1.75 VCORE on water, and ran bitch'in hot), don't waste your money on one.

Nope, this is definitely my best Aquamark score to date. Not surprising as I pushed my 3500+ Winnie to 2794 mhz (BH-5 at 254, 2-2-2-5). Keep in mind this is a SINGLE X850XT PE card at default clock. Board is the DFI Ultra-D on a Corsair HC200:

Here's my score. Since Aquamark is very CPU sensitive too my score rised by fairly trivial amounts compared to my 6800GT SLI
75,000 --> 80,700
