http://www.overclock.net/t/1250666/w...pling-our-cpus
http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=1537904&mpage=1) I noticed something very interesting on overclock and EVGA forum threads about unpark cores, it seemed Intel HT and Bulldozer SMT has similar problem so Intel unpark cores is designed for laptops as desktops really dont need it, you can disabled unparked cores and use all cores/threads to gain extra performance boost in all apps and games. Cant wait to try this when I get i7 3770K CPU in few weeks to use all 8 threads on all apps and games. ![]()

Works great! GTA 4 runs so smooth now. Games with high CPU usage will really soar now.
Use this - http://www.coderbag.com/Programming-...arking-Utility just reboot after you unpark all and enjoy!! |

Thanks for the link. I never knew this was used in Windows 7. I recently saw an article on Windows 8 and BD core parking, but had no idea it was being done with i7's on Win7.

Just use this utility, it's easier. And reboot after you UNPARK ALL.

after more reading other threads sounds like it only for Cores with HT so I think it will have no use for i5
But I will check it out after I have my system up

Does it matter if you have HT disabled on the CPU? I turn it off on my i7 920.
