Question Flickering Srolling Vertical Lines

I am trying to get my nvidia GeFroce 4 video card working on a Redhat 9 linux box. I have the card in twinview and it is displaying on both my crt and tv. I have two problems that I am trying to over come.

1. On the tv there are these vertical scrolling lines that are annoying that I would like to get rid of. They do not display on the monitor. It seems to me that it might have somthing to do with the vertical resresh rate, but in my config file I have it set to 60.

2. I would like to setup the resoltution on the monitor to 1078x768 and the tv to 640x480. I set this in the metamode of the conifg file and when the screen displays the monitor is the correct resolution but you only see a corner of the desktop on the tv. If I change the config file and set the metamode to 640x480 on both the monitor and tv, the tv is set perfectly on the screen (so is the monitor but that res sucks).

If anyone could offer any help it would be great. I'm pretty new to linux so I'm impressed I made it this far. I'd love to get this to work perfectly so I can remove winblows!

Here is part of my config file

Option "TwinView"
Option "TwinViewOrientation" "Clone"
Option "ConnectedMonitor" "crt,tv"
Option "TVStandard" "NTSC-M"
Option "TVOutFormat" "COMPOSITE"
Option "SecondMonitorHorizSync" "30-50"
Option "SecondMonitorVertRefresh" "60"
Option "MetaModes" "1078x768,640x480;640x480,640x480"
