Hi folks,
When starting X in 1600x1200 the computer often freezes before login screen has appeared and the only solution is a hardreset ! When trying 1280x1024 it works perfectly. I've tried with multiple kernels and NV drivers. The last line in XFree86.0.log is: (II) Loading extension NV-CONTROL I'm using a pretty standard RH 8.0 on a VIA KT333 MB and a GF4800SE card. Attached the cfg. file. The last solution in my mind is to get new X binaries from XFREE.org, but thats a radical step for a newbie. Regards Torben |
