Hi,
I have been trying to install Debian on an older NVIDIA GPU GeForce 7050 PV system (graphics on the mother board). I just installed the nvidia-kernel-dkms package and rebooted. Now the computer boots up but locks up. I can't even ssh into the computer. Before installing nvidia-kernal-dkms the computer booted up. However the vertical sync was way way off. This is a media system. The monitor is a 53" S-Video Sony set. The combination of hardware had been running beautifully for several years. However this was before I started to update the Debian computer (had not do this for about a year). Could it be that S-Video is no longer supported? What could be happening where the computer is soooo busy it is locked up? -thanks for any help. |
