I found a tool which removed it. But thanks anyway

Off-note: I personally didn't notice any difference between the regular XP and the XP SP1 version. But that could be just me

I've heard that the following things:

* It won't install at all if it detect a pirated version.

* It will install fine but say goodbye to further WindowsUpdate support.

* It'll nuke the WinXP installation and bitch at you, rendering your PC useless unless you format and reinstall with a valid version.

* It'll narc you out to Microshaft.

I don't know what to believe anymore except that I'm sure the hackers have allready figured a way around this and MS is allready too late. I don't know for sure because I can't stand warez and hacker sites. They have a bad habit of polluting your desktop with 4000 pop-up Windows for free Pr0n and God knows what else!!

There is a program that creates unique serial numbers for XP, I won't say the name for certain reasons.

But I think they made a mistake in releasing it so soon, because the official word now is that Microsoft is changing the algorithm for SP1 on Corp Edition copies. But that 'feature' will only be enabled on the official versions. AFAIK the betas don't have it activated.

I am not going to talk about such horrible things as pirated software...

Warez are the Devilsown work...

I really hope that hits someone on the forehead.....I would have to put up a neon sign to make it any clearer.

Hint: google is a good search engine
