I cant justify the price of a 680 so this thing hopefully will be a fair bit cheaper.

You mean like nvidia? In their crappy review the 670 is the same speed as a 680 pretty much. Who would buy a 680 then? Also the 7970 is oddly the same speed as a 580... They also used different drivers for every card.

The benchmarks I saw had it on par with a HD7950 and I am sure the GTX-670 will overclock great .

Seems a little too good to be true. If it is im definitely getting a 670 instead of waiting for the 660 Ti which is rumored to only be coming in Q3 :/

GPU-Z confirmed GTX 670 launch date on 10 May 2012.
![]() Martyr82 from Overclock.net bought Gigabyte GTX 670 OC days early from launch date in Australia, it is non reference and Gigabyte choosed long PCB instead of short PCB possible because of added more PVMs. Accorded to 3DMark 11 benchmarks showed GTX 670 OC faster than stock GTX 680s that got everybody baffled. http://www.overclock.net/t/1253432/g...#post_17164726 Max OC at default voltage, 1145MHz base clock / 1224MHz boost clock.

numbers are fudged
![]() As you can see...in a title that Radeons Dominate....it doesn't add up. Tweaktown is off my list of reputable sites.

Martyr82 managed to pushed GTX 670 OC boost clock further to 1362MHz achieved same performance as GTX 680 at 1200MHz.
![]() http://www.overclock.net/t/1253432/g...#post_17167410 It is really incredible GTX 670 are very close reached 1.4GHz on air, think I will wait for EVGA GTX 670 4GB card hopefully at around £350-400. I will not going to pay insanely £599 for EVGA GTX 680 FTW 4GB!

Yields are probably crap on a full SP product, hence the poor availability of the 680. If the 670 performs the same but costs less and uses all the rejected chips with 1 unit disabled....I'd say nV have a big win on their hands.
