I played SoC and CS with Complete, it was good, but I actually prefer Vanilla with a few tweaks of my own. Especially for CoP.
Now playing Metro in Ranger Hardcore mode. : : |

Hey i actually played through Stalker the original when it came out, what an experience and atmosphere! I actually got the urge to whip it out again once I saw the trailers for that chernobyl diaries. That game was a different kind of shooter, brought me back to the good ol' days of Deus Ex 1. Now that was a game...

I know. The fire fights are so frantic and desperate. even more so without quick saves. Can you imagine if they added permadeath?
I hope Stalker doesn't disappear forever. Though I doubt any other developer could capture that Zone feeling. Infinity Ward sure as hell couldn't. Techland maybe? Bethesda have their own thing going on. |

it could take a while to get into the games, but the atmosphere, audio and open world were captivating

I'd love to see another where all the elements came together like SoC did. |

I know. When I first played Soc, vanilla no mods I was a little put off by the low budget feel, and very buggy quests. I must have started and quit a few times. Finally sitting down and giving it a good shot. After that I was hooked, I even became fond of the odd bugs. "Get out of here STALKER" is my favourite.
