Yeah... my 920 is still stock and I'm very pleased with it. I can't recall any other mobo and CPU I've had as long as this 920 and mobo.

I'm not expecting to be getting a new CPU and mobo for quite a while. I dunno, maybe if through work I can get a 2011 based system for a killer deal, and only if it were the six core. Other wise I plan on rocking this mobo and cpu for at least a couple more years.

It is well bred in computer hardware culture that when one says "Intel integrated graphics" one is met with derisive responses like "integrated Intel crap". It's like how AMD can't shake the "bad/poorly written/rushed drivers" label dodging it from the early 2000's now nearly a decade later.

This Intel 4000 may be a game changer. The $20 AMD 5450/6450 is a huge seller these days to replace the integrated Intel graphics in low end systems and in HTPC applications. AMD have a variety of low to mid-end discrete graphics cards right now that will be made completely obselete from the release of the 4000.

Intel needs to somehow market the 4000 to knock an entire market segment out from AMD.

I need a CPU now and just don't see any real big benifits over the 2500K in gameing maybe a little faster here and there but don't use that much less power then a 2500K.

Looking at the reviews now I glad I did'nt wait ,they showed a retail box and it had a 95w rateing.Plus it it runs hot when over clocking.One site was useing a Corsair 100 and at 4.6gigs it got up to 85c,with just a small increase in voltage.

Nice! I need to look into the offerings for motherboards first. I'm probably going to setup ivy bridge to replace my Q6600 server and VT-d is one of my requirements. We'll see how they handle it this time around.

Very nice performance. On the same CPU cooler Ivy Bridge OC slight better and much better lower temp than Sandy Bridge, 3770K OC 4.63GHz max temp 65C vs 2600K OC 4.5GHz max temp 81C.

Waiting for more reviews before decide to buy 3770K CPU.

I get an access denied when clicking that link. Also form what I have read on other forums, Ivy will run much hotter than Sandy, so maybe those temps are mixed up. Not an issue for me as I would put it under sub-zero anyway.

Performance delta between a 2600k and 3770k shrinks on OC.
Higher speed memory produces some gains that are more tangible over 2600k (3DMark 11 Physics test)

Other than that a 5-15% gains, lower amount for games, higher for synthetic tests. Graphs are a pain in the a$$ to view, the text is too small to read. The memory speed comparison table near the end and OC tests are interesting to read.
