actually i see quite a huge difference from them, its like playing the game with the contrast/brightness/gamma turning half way down.... but at least its playable, still better than a slideshow experience. those not so popular/targeted games that do not get "optimized" worry me lots more

I've made a slideshow jpg to show the difference between the R9800 and the FX5600 using the 51.x drivers..

Hopefully, I have not degraded the png files, as im crap with Animation Shop 3

Hmm, the shots with the GFFX5900 with 44.03 and 45.23 looks the best/sharpest, sharper the the cat's from ATI.

The 51xx are awfull as the whole lighting get into a half and the blur comes in.

So lights and blur are the keywords for det51xx.

I only mis my lodbias with the R9800

Oh, and I think it is a huge difference between the 2, If I just bought a GFFX card, I would be pissed off.

The only difference I see is in brightness. This may be due to high precision HDR being fubar'd or it may just be improper gamma, digital vibrance or something else..

I watched the flash anim, and couldn't see a thing move, except the back of the ship get a tad darker..

Rivetting I must say...

I hadn't realized...wow!

EDITED BITS: "eek" for "shock", I REALLY wish there was a law that all sites had to use the same smiley code.

Default Bah

That's it. I am dumping my nvda stocks, selling my Ti4200, getting a 9800, as well as buying more atyt shares.

damn... thats a HUGE difference...

nice animation... its bloody massive to dl as well... but nice job...

shows the difference extremely clearly...

its almost as if there are some light sources removed in the det51.75's

quite weird...

the lighting otherwise is also very bland as is the texture detail... if that is not the clearest case of lowered precision I have seen yet... I don't know what is...
