xrandr command still shows only resolution 1920x1080. However, Wine is able to change resolution to 1024x768, so Stronghold Crusader works fine on 304.22. Thanks, NVIDIA!

You need to use the --q1 option to the xrandr command line tool to see the list of RandR 1.1 screen configurations available. Otherwise it queries the actual mode list via RandR 1.2.

After a recent update, wine starting to use XRandR 1.2/1.3 to query available resolutions.
And as the implicit modes are only exported via RandR 1.1, this feature is broken again. |
