Loved the 1st, game... make it like #1, we don't need to drive indoors and add LAN support... pretty hard to screw it up if you slap nice graphics on it and some new vehicles...

Rumors has it that this is not done by Square Enix (which acquired Eidos, the original publisher of Carmageddon). There was an open source game presented a little while ago that won a cease and desist at the time. Maybe they negotiated the rights?

Both 1 & 2 were a blast I can still remember being able to drive in to a football stadium, run over the players on the field and then right up in to the stands and plow in to the fans.
![]() I also remember the game being banned in several countries because because of the violent content and in other countries they had to make it so instead of running over people you ran over zombies in order to sell the game. |

Where did you read this? Press release just says being developed for digital download, meaning most definitely for PC also.
